Never exceed the rated capacity: The floor jack and jack stands are rated for 2 tons (4,000 lbs) each. Do not attempt to lift or support loads heavier than this capacity.
Use on hard, level surface: Always operate the jack and place jack stands on a hard, level surface capable of supporting the load. Avoid soft ground, asphalt, or uneven surfaces.
Chock wheels: Before lifting, always chock the wheels that are not being lifted to prevent unintended movement of the vehicle.
Lift only on vehicle manufacturer's recommended lift points: Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for proper lifting points.
Use jack stands for support: The hydraulic floor jack is a lifting device only. Immediately after lifting, transfer the load to appropriately rated jack stands. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a hydraulic jack.

4.1. Floor Jack Preparation

To adjust height, lift the handle on the ratchet bar and slide the bar to the desired height.
Ensure the ratchet bar is fully engaged in the base's teeth before placing any load.

5.1. Lifting a Vehicle with the Floor Jack

5.2. Lowering a Vehicle
