4. Maagizo ya Ufungaji
Before beginning installation, ensure you have all necessary tools and that the sink is clean and dry. Refer to Figure 5 for a visual guide.
- Disassemble Washers and Nut: Unscrew the nut and remove the washers from the drain body. Keep them in order for reassembly.
- Place Waste into Sink Hole: Insert the upper part of the drain (the waste) into the sink's drain hole from above. Ensure it is centered and the overflow holes align with the sink's overflow channel.
- Screw the Nut On: From underneath the sink, slide the washers back onto the threaded pipe in the correct order (refer to Figure 2 for gasket placement) and then screw the nut onto the threaded pipe. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench to secure it firmly, but do not overtighten.
- Connect to Trap: Connect the sink trap (P-trap or S-trap) to the bottom of the drain's threaded pipe. Ensure a secure, watertight connection.
- Tighten the Siphon: Securely tighten all connections on the siphon (trap) to prevent leaks.
