2. Kuweka
2.1 Unboxing na Ukaguzi wa Awali
Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage. Ensure all protective films are removed from the crystal and case back before use.
2.2 Winding the Mainspring
Your Seiko Presage SRPE45J1 features an automatic mechanical movement. While it winds itself through wrist motion, it can also be manually wound:
- Ensure the crown is in the normal position (not pulled out).
- Turn the crown clockwise slowly for approximately 30-40 rotations. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- The watch will continue to wind automatically with normal wrist movement.
2.3 Kuweka Wakati
- Vuta taji hadi bonyeza mara ya pili position. The second hand will stop.
- Turn the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. To ensure accurate time setting, it is recommended to set the time a few minutes ahead and then turn the hands counter-clockwise to the correct time.
- Push the crown back into the normal position. The second hand will resume movement.
2.4 Kuweka Tarehe
- Vuta taji hadi bonyeza kwanza msimamo.
- Geuza taji mwendo wa saa to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
- Once the correct date is displayed, push the crown back into the normal position.

3. Uendeshaji
3.1 Mwendo otomatiki
The SRPE45J1 is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. This means the watch is wound by the natural motion of your wrist. When worn regularly, it should maintain its power reserve. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding as described in the Setup section.
3.2 Hifadhi ya Umeme
A fully wound mainspring provides approximately 41 masaa of power reserve. If the watch is not worn for this duration, it will stop. To restart, gently shake the watch from side to side in a horizontal arc for about 30 seconds, or manually wind it.
3.3 Upinzani wa Maji
Saa hii ina ukadiriaji wa upinzani wa maji wa 5 BAR (mita 50). This rating means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is haifai for swimming, showering, or diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
4. Matengenezo
4.1 Kusafisha
- Kesi na Fuwele: Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp kitambaa kinaweza kutumika, ikifuatiwa na kitambaa kavu.
- Mkanda wa Ngozi: Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures, as these can cause the leather to dry, crack, or discolor. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. If it gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
4.2 Hifadhi
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields. If storing for an extended period, consider a watch winder to keep the automatic movement running and lubricated.
4.3 Huduma ya Kitaalamu
For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to have your watch inspected and serviced by an authorized Seiko service center every 3 to 5 years. This includes checking the movement, seals, and overall condition of the watch.
