Model: Queen Bed Support System

1. Bidhaa Imeishaview

The Glideaway Heavy Duty Low Profile Center Support system is designed to provide robust and lasting support for queen-sized wooden bed frames. This system prevents mattress and box spring sagging, ensuring the longevity of your bedding. It is particularly suitable for low-profile bed frames with internal wooden lips and can accommodate significant weight, including softside waterbeds or bariatric use.

3. Compatibility and Fit Criteria

This support system is specifically designed for certain bed frame types. Please ensure your bed frame meets the following criteria for proper installation and optimal performance:

  • Your bed must be a Queen, King, or California King size. This specific product is for Queen size.
  • It must have a wooden headboard, footboard, and wooden side rails.
  • The wooden side rails should include a wooden lip located on the inside, where traditional wooden slats would typically rest.
  • An accurate measurement from the top of the wooden lip down to the ground (carpet pressed down firmly) is required. This distance cannot be less than 5 ½ inches or more than 7 7/8 inches.

4. Setup and Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to properly install your Glideaway center support system:

  1. Andaa Fremu ya Kitanda: Remove your mattress and box spring from the bed frame. Ensure the wooden side rails are clear of any existing slats or obstructions.
  2. Position the Support Rails: Place the four center support rails across the width of your bed frame, resting them on the wooden lips of the side rails. Distribute them evenly along the length of the bed frame. Ensure the adjustable legs are facing downwards.
  3. Rekebisha Urefu wa Mguu: Carefully turn the adjustable glides on each leg to extend them downwards until they firmly touch the floor. Adjust each leg individually to ensure even support and to achieve the desired height (between 5 and 7 inches from the floor to the top of the rail). The goal is to have all legs providing firm, stable contact with the floor.
  4. Secure Non-Skid Grippers: If desired, place the non-skid rubber grippers under the base of each adjustable leg to prevent movement and protect your flooring.
  5. Thibitisha Uthabiti: Once all rails are in place and legs are adjusted, gently press down on the rails to check for stability. There should be no wobbling or excessive movement.
  6. Badilisha matandiko: Carefully place your box spring and mattress back onto the bed frame.

5. Matumizi na Uendeshaji

Once installed, the Glideaway center support system operates passively, providing continuous support to your mattress and box spring. No further adjustments are typically needed unless you move the bed or notice a change in support requirements. The adjustable glides allow for fine-tuning the support height to perfectly match your bed frame's requirements and floor level.

6. Matengenezo

The Glideaway Heavy Duty Center Support system requires minimal maintenance:

  • Bed Sagging: If sagging persists, re-check the height adjustment of all 8 glides. Ensure each leg is firmly supporting the rail and making solid contact with the floor. Uneven adjustment can lead to localized sagging.
  • Bed Movement: If the bed frame slides on the floor, ensure the non-skid rubber grippers are correctly placed under each leg and are clean. Verify that the glides are not overtightened, which could lift the grippers slightly.
  • Kelele: Squeaking or creaking might indicate loose connections or uneven support. Re-check all leg adjustments and ensure the rails are seated properly on the wooden lips of the bed frame.
  • Masuala ya Utangamano: If the system does not fit your bed frame, refer back to the "Compatibility and Fit Criteria" section (Section 3) to ensure your frame meets all requirements.
