4.2. Button Functions (Back of Unit)
The back of the base station features several buttons for configuration:
- HALI YA HEWA: Adjusts the current weather forecast if needed.
- °C/°F: Toggles temperature readings between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- inHg/mb: Changes the units of measurement for barometric pressure.
- HISTORIA: Toggles through the historical barometric pressure data.
- MAX / MIN: Toggles through the maximum and minimum recorded temperature and humidity readings for both indoor and outdoor.
- KITUO: Cycles through channels 1, 2, and 3, allowing you to monitor multiple remote sensors (additional sensors sold separately).
5. Placement and Usage Tips
For optimal performance, consider the following placement guidelines:
- Kituo cha Msingi: Can be placed on a tabletop using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall using the wall-mount slot.
- Sensorer ya mbali: The remote sensor is cold-resistant down to -31°F (-35°C) and waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions including heavy rain and snow. It can be mounted on a wall or fence using its wall-mount slot. Ensure it is placed in a shaded area to avoid direct sunlight, which can affect temperature accuracy.
- Safu Isiyo na Waya: The sensor has a transmission distance of up to 200 feet (60 meters) in an open area. Walls, metal objects, and electronic devices can reduce the effective range.
- Sensorer Nyingi: The weather station can display readings from up to 3 remote sensors. (Product includes 1 sensor; additional sensors can be ordered by searching B0BHQSR2RK).
