The STIHL SHE 71 can be configured for either suction/shredding or blowing. Conversion between modes is designed to be tool-free and straightforward.
4.1. Assembling for Suction/Shredding
- Attach the 2-piece suction tube to the main unit's intake opening. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Connect the manifold to the discharge opening of the main unit.
- Securely attach the collection bag to the manifold. Ensure the bag's opening is fully sealed around the manifold to prevent debris escape.
- Verify that the protective grille is correctly installed over the impeller area.
4.2. Converting to Blower Mode

- Remove the collection bag and manifold from the discharge opening.
- Remove the 2-piece suction tube from the intake opening.
- Attach the blow pipe to the main unit's discharge opening.
- Attach the flat nozzle to the end of the blow pipe for concentrated airflow.
Note: The integrated cable strain relief helps manage the power cord during operation.

- Monitor the collection bag and empty it when full to maintain optimal suction performance. The bag is designed for easy opening and emptying.

- Kusafisha: After each use, disconnect the power and clean the exterior of the device with a damp cloth. Remove any debris from the suction tube, blow pipe, and impeller area.
