- Apply a thin film of new engine oil to the rubber gasket of the new oil filter.
- Thread the new oil filter onto the engine by hand until the gasket makes contact with the engine block.
- Tighten the filter an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn by hand. Do not overtighten.

- Open the air filter housing cover.

- Tighten the spark plugs with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
- Reconnect the spark plug wires firmly.
