- Sakinisha Nozzle Mpya: Screw the Rain Bird U12Q nozzle onto the riser stem of the sprinkler head. Hand-tighten only; do not overtighten.
- Adjust Arc and Radius:
- The U12Q is a quarter-circle nozzle, meaning it sprays a 90-degree arc. The arc is fixed.
- To adjust the spray radius, use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the stainless steel adjustment screw located at the center of the nozzle. Turning clockwise decreases the radius, and counter-clockwise increases it.
- Washa Ugavi wa Maji: Slowly turn the water supply back on and observe the spray pattern. Make fine adjustments as needed.

Uendeshaji
The Rain Bird U12Q nozzle is designed for straightforward operation once installed. Its quarter-circle spray pattern is fixed at 90 degrees. The primary operational adjustment is the spray radius.
- Marekebisho ya Radius: Use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the central stainless steel screw. Turning the screw clockwise will reduce the spray distance, while turning it counter-clockwise will increase the spray distance. Adjust until the desired coverage is achieved, ensuring water reaches the intended areas without overspray.
- Close-in Watering: The U-Series nozzles feature an additional orifice that provides water coverage immediately around the sprinkler head, preventing dry spots in these critical areas.
