Before first use, fully charge your BACtrack C8. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device's charging port and plug the other end into a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The charging indicator will show progress and turn off when fully charged.

2. Attaching a Mouthpiece

Firmly insert a mouthpiece into the designated slot on the BACtrack C8 until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached to prevent air leakage during testing.

3. Optional: Connecting to the BACtrack App

The BACtrack C8 can be used in "Standalone Mode" or "App Mode." For "App Mode," download the BACtrack App from your smartphone's app store. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and follow the in-app instructions to pair your device.

  3. Blow steadily and continuously into the mouthpiece for approximately 5 seconds until the device beeps or indicates the sample is complete.
  4. The BAC result will be displayed on the device screen. If in "App Mode," the result will also appear in the BACtrack App.

3. Understanding ZeroLine Technology

The BACtrack C8, especially when used with the app, features ZeroLine technology. This estimates the time until your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) is expected to return to 0.00%. This feature is an estimate and should not be used as a definitive guide for driving or other activities requiring sobriety.
