4. Maagizo ya Mkutano
The FREDBECK barn door is designed for straightforward assembly. All wood panels are mitered for a snug fit. A simple assembly is required to construct the door slab.
4.1 Door Slab Assembly
- Unpack all wooden components and lay them out on a clean, flat surface.
- Identify the vertical planks and horizontal/diagonal support pieces.
- Align the mitered edges of the planks and support pieces according to the K-shape design.
- Apply wood glue (not included) to the joints for added stability.
- Secure the pieces together using the provided screws in the pre-drilled holes. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Allow the glue to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.

4.2 Finishing (Optional)
The spruce wood surface is unfinished and ready to be stained or painted to your desired color. It is recommended to apply any finish before installing the hardware.

5. Maagizo ya Ufungaji

5.1 Track Installation
- Measure the width of your door opening. The 7FT track should extend beyond the opening on both sides to allow the door to fully open.
- Locate wall studs above the door opening. It is highly recommended to mount the track into studs for maximum support. If studs do not align, a header board (not included) should be installed across the opening and secured to studs.
- Mark the drilling points for the track spacers. Ensure the track is level.
- Drill pilot holes and attach the track spacers to the wall.
- Mount the track onto the spacers using the provided screws.
5.2 Door Hanger and Handle Installation
- Attach the hangers to the top edge of the assembled door slab using the provided hardware. Ensure they are securely fastened and evenly spaced.
- Install the pull handle on the desired side of the door.
5.3 Hanging the Door and Floor Guide
- With assistance, carefully lift the door and hook the hangers onto the installed track.
- Position the door in the closed position.
- The bottom of the door has a pre-made groove for the floor guide. Install the floor guide to the floor directly below this groove to prevent the door from swinging out.
- Test the door's movement to ensure it slides smoothly and the floor guide functions correctly.

6. Maagizo ya Uendeshaji
To operate your FREDBECK Sliding Wood Barn Door:
- Grasp the pull handle firmly.
- Gently push or pull the door along the track. The door should glide smoothly and quietly.
- Avoid forcing the door, as this can damage the track or hangers.
