3. Kuweka
3.1 Kufungua na Usafishaji wa Awali

- Wash the water tank, milk frother container, portafilter, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

- Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line (1.2 Liters capacity).

3.3 Filling the Milk Frother Container
- Remove the milk frother container from the side of the machine.
- Fill with cold milk up to the desired level, not exceeding the MAX line (700 ml capacity).
- Attach the milk frother container back to the machine.

4. Maagizo ya Uendeshaji
4.1 Kuandaa Espresso

- Place the desired filter basket into the portafilter.
- Add ground coffee to the filter basket. Use the provided tamper to gently press the coffee evenly.
- Attach the portafilter to the brewing head by inserting it and turning it firmly to the right until it locks.

- Press the 'Espresso' button on the control panel. The machine will begin brewing.

4.2 Preparing Cappuccino or Latte

- The machine will automatically brew the coffee and froth the milk into your cup.
4.3 Manual Milk Frothing (using Steam Wand)

Regular cleaning ensures the best taste and extends the life of your espresso machine.
5.1 Kusafisha Kila Siku

5.2 Kushuka
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance and taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-3 months).
- Use a commercially available descaling solution suitable for espresso machines, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution mixed with water as directed.
- Run the solution through the machine by performing several brewing cycles without coffee, and also through the steam wand.
- After descaling, rinse the water tank thoroughly and run several cycles with fresh water to remove any descaling solution residue.
Important: The Boretti B402 Espresso Machine is NOT dishwasher safe.
