Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Remove any protective films or stickers from the soleplate or body of the iron. Retain the packaging for storage or future transport.

- Ensure the iron is at a high temperature setting (three dots '•••' or 'MAX').
- Press the steam shot button firmly. Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat and build up steam.

The vertical steam function is ideal for removing creases from hanging garments, curtains, or drapes.
